Evangelicals for Diversity

Bob Luiz Botelho is an associate member of the United Nations on issues related to religion. He is also an ordained queer Pentecostal reverend from the Ancient Church of the Americas, a pastor at a local church in Curitiba, and the first LGBTI+ member of the Latin American Theological Fellowship.

He is also the Executive Director of Coonceito, a cooperative that offers training on quality of life, well-being, social justice, and human rights. He is also the founder of the first platform dedicated to welcoming LGBTI+ evangelicals experiencing religious violence in Latin America.

The goal of Evangelicals for Diversity is to organize a movement for sexual and gender diversity within the evangelical Christian faith throughout Brazil. In this way, they promote equality for this population both within churches and in society as a whole. They also contribute to the organization of groups, movements, and organizations—with public impact in society—that advocate for diversity and religion.
