Tatiana Arredondo is a pastor, theologian, and student. She is one of the voices behind Abrazo Disidente , an affirming, diverse, and horizontal Christian community that celebrates LGBTIQ+, neurodivergent, and disabled identities.
Abrazo Disidente was born in response to the urgent need for safe spaces where no one has to choose between their faith and their identity. It is a place of accompaniment, healing, and community love, championing a spirituality in which every body and experience are an expression of the fullness of Divinity.
From a liberating perspective, this community lives and proclaims the Gospel as Good News that affirms the dignity of every human being and promotes social justice, equity, full participation, peace, and care for creation. Its commitment is translated into practices that seek to embody the communal Kingdom here and now, with eschatological hope and concrete actions.
With their work, Tatiana and Abrazo Disidente remind us that faith can also be a refuge, a celebration of diversity, and a transformative force.
