Flavio Conrado lives in Brazil and holds a master's and doctorate in anthropology. He has worked with evangelical organizations on issues related to the environment, climate change, human rights, and democracy. His project "We Are One for Democracy" seeks to actively defend democracy among Brazilian Christians, regardless of political affiliation, and to express a shared sense of respect for diversity and a rejection of extremism that threatens freedom.
"We are one for democracy" also aims to end the stereotype that Christian communities are far-right and demonstrate that there are evangelical groups on the left and in the center, but, even more importantly, that there is a plurality of thought.
The project's operations center is Casa Galileia, an organization that works with evangelical and Christian projects on the socio-environmental agenda. Flavio and his team's dream is for their project to position itself as a network of pastors and leaders from large Brazilian churches ready to defend democracy.
