
Gut Simon is a social communicator, LGBTI+ activist, and researcher specializing in sexuality, gender, family, and religious fundamentalism in São Paulo, Brazil. As a bisexual, cisgender, and Catholic man, he has extensive experience in advocacy, mobilization, and communication for social causes in the Third Sector.
He is also the co-author of the book Seed of Life: Rejection and Acceptance of LGBTI+ Children in Christian Homes . In this text, he analyzes the influence of religious fundamentalist discourse on families and its political, social, and cultural implications for society as a whole.
For the launch of this book, she also held the seminar "Semilla de Vida: Progressive LGBTI+ Alliances Against Fundamentalist Religious Discourse," in collaboration with Mídia NINJA and various progressive, religious, and non-religious organizations in Brazil.
