René is a social anthropologist and project manager for ORAM (Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration) in Mexico City. He also founded the Josías Foundation, a space made up of believers who identify with the LGBTIQA+ population or consider themselves allies.
This collective seeks to raise awareness and build safe religious environments for gender dissidents. From this, " Blessed are the deviants for the Kingdom of Heaven is ours too" emerged. This project aims to raise awareness and sensitize people through various audiovisual media that portray the work of Christian churches—Evangelical and Catholic—in Chile and Mexico, advocating for the inclusion of sexual diversity.
