Nazareth's Closet, by Idania Mejía

El Closet de Nazareth is a podcast project created by Idania Mejía, a Salvadoran theologian, writer, poet, and professor with extensive experience in topics such as feminism, migration, and gender. Her main objective is to address social issues from a religious intersectionality perspective, giving a distinct value to female figures in the Catholic tradition by problematizing and reinterpreting biblical texts, historical records, and other relevant cultural resources.

Through enriching conversations and reflections, the program hopes to explore and analyze the diverse meanings, representations, and symbolic constructions related to the Church, migration, and secularism, as well as the bodies, sexuality, and identity of iconic women such as Eve, the Virgin Mary, and Mary Magdalene. In this way, from a theological and feminist perspective, this space will offer its audience alternative readings that vindicate the experience and dignity of these figures.
