Claudia Florentin and Gabriela Merayo are part of Con Efe Comunicaciones, a platform that answers fundamental questions about the relationship between faith and feminism in Latin America and the Caribbean. The mission of this project is to highlight and support women believers who, from diverse faith traditions, live, experience, and reflect on feminism.
Since its inception, Con Efe has created spaces for socialization and education. Its activities include documenting and sharing stories led by women in the region, providing a space for their writings and thoughts, supporting campaigns by feminist organizations, and stimulating the production of theological content related to this movement.
The publication of the First Feminist Devotional in 2022 was one of its most important milestones. This is a unique material written by women from diverse countries and Christian traditions. It was developed in a participatory, horizontal, and communal manner, using the approach of the hermeneutics of suspicion.
With Efe Communications, she represents a bridge between communication, feminist theology, and activism. She affirms the role of women of faith in the social transformation of Abya Yala.
